AZ 50
State Route 50 was going to be the Paradise Parkway. The route would've ran mostly along Bethany Home Road from Glendale to Phoenix and potentially even to Scottsdale. It was proposed from 1985, originally as SR 317 until it was renumbered on December 18, 1987. It continued to be proposed until December 15, 1994 when the then Governor Symington made funding cuts that got rid of the proposal. The project was expensive and also unpopular, with neighborhood opposition to its construction.
